The location of this hotel is fantastic. It is very close to the archaeological site of Herculaneum, just a short walk away. It is also conveniently located in the Vesuvio area, making it a great base for exploring the surrounding attractions like Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast. Additionally, the hotel is situated in a real Italian neighborhood, giving you a genuine experience of the local culture. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby on Corso Resina, so you'll never run out of dining options.
All was perfectly fine during our stay.

The owners of the I Papiri was very friendly and helpful. He helped us to choose a restaurant and has a lot of information about the sights close by. The room was very clean and the service was good. The trainstation is only 10 minutes walk away and you can reach Naples, Pompeii, etc. very easy. The hotel has a nice terrace from which you can see the sea.

We stayed in Ercolano because of its location which was a short but hair raising 14km drive from the airport. We were able to walk to the excavations, train back into Naples and Vesuvius was a short drive.I Papiri provided good off street parking,WIFI, views of the bay and Capri.Very clean and hospitable plus Leo makes great coffee.
The neighborhood was a little shabby though quite safe. On Sunday night all the restaurants closed at 7pm and we were lucky to get a Panini.

The Inn was fine. Its what you might expect. The young maid/hostess did an awesome job of cleaning our room...and folding our messy clothes! We left a nice tip for her. The only problem is the staff did not speak any English. Made asking questions and asking for recommendations impossible. The street is a small neighbor street with all the small village local people flavor. It is a very easy walk to the ruins and easy to train station. We rented a car at the naples airport and had a comical time parking in their parking area. The remote doors at the Inn open just wide enough for a tiny european car to get through. As the ruins are so easy to get to by train, I think next time I would try for a more scenic village to stay in.
The zero ability to communicate although they tried. It was like a game of charades. Thus, we were not able to get a lot if infromation from them about anything.

Located in a quiet area on the outskirts of Naples, this hotel is conveniently close to train stations and offers easy access to the hills of Sorrento and the ruins of Herculaneum. the spacious room and renovated bathroom are the highlights of the stay, along with the friendly staff who provided excellent service. the breakfast, featuring a variety of pastries and cereal, is a great way to start the day. the stunning view from the rear deck is an added advantage.
The limited parking facilities can be a hassle for those traveling with cars.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. the attention to detail was excellent. From the friendly and helpful staff to the basic amenities provided, everything was top-notch. Secondly, the location of the hotel was fantastic. It was conveniently situated near the train station, making it easy to explore both Naples and Sorrento. Additionally, the hotel had a stunning view facing the Bay of Naples, providing a picturesque backdrop throughout my stay. Lastly, the breakfast served on the terrace was a delightful way to start the day. The view of Capri in the distance made it even more special.
All aspects of this hotel were more than satisfactory.

Location, central Ercolano close to the ruins and the railway station. Felt a safe b&b, lovely terrace with a view of the Bay of Naples and the Isle of Capri.
It was noisy, in a block with appartments above with noise until late in the evening. The breakfast was disappointing, no fresh bread, coffee or fruit, felt like it was provided on a tight budget.

I recently had a wonderful stay at a small hotel in a real Italian neighborhood. The hotel is located in a pretty run-down neighborhood, but don't let that deter you. The moment I arrived, I was greeted by a huge green door that led me into a charming oasis. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, going above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The rooms were spacious and well-furnished, featuring beautiful walnut furniture and offering a stunning view of Capri. The attention to detail was evident throughout, from the ornate pieces of furniture to the new digital TV and free wifi. Additionally, the hotel's location near the roundabout made it convenient for exploring the nearby archaeological sites of Herculaneum and Pompeii.
All was great, nothing to complain about.

The building and rooms were very nice. We had driven down from Rome so we were able to park the car inside in their yard which was very helpful. They even gave us some welcoming limencello which was nice. The accomodation is extermely close to the Ercolano ruins and also very near to the train station if you wanted to go Naples or Pompeii. The bathroom and shower were very clean. We had a lovely view from our balcony of the sea.
Although we only wanted somewhere to rest our tired travelling feet the area did not seem very safe. We arrived late at night and wanted to go out to get something small to eat but after a few minutes walk we felt a bit out place and turned back. Alot of rubbish in the streets and not much of a touristy place. The place was very different during the day and the accomodation itself was very good.

We chose the hotel for the location: walking to the archaeological site and because it had parking and it met those needs. It was in an older building, which was interesting, but the room and balcony were small for a "superior" room and the price. There is not a lot of choice around that area. The owner and his family were very helpful and did everything they could to assure a comfortable stay.
small room and balcony too small to use.

The location of the hotel was handy for visiting the local ruins. We loved the spacious terrace with its impressive view. The room was well-kept and tidy.
The breakfast was a letdown, with stale food and low-quality coffee. The neighborhood around the hotel was disorganized and trash-strewn.

The location was perfect for exploring the ruins nearby and we loved the helpful guidance we received from the staff about the local area. Our room was clean and comfortable and we especially enjoyed the nice view from the patio deck during breakfast.
Although the room was comfortable, the shower in one of the bathrooms was too small for us bigger folks. the neighborhood outside was not the cleanest which made us feel a little uneasy at times.
